THE IT SYSTEM FOR REMOTE BATTERY STATUS MONITORING

The solution to the problem of battery condition monitoring in distributed installations of autonomous devices is presented. The problem is discussed on the example of LED street lamps, powered by batteries, recharged from photovoltaic panels. Such solutions are used in the event of a power failure. Online monitoring of the lighting condition, and thus also the state of charge of street lamps' batteries is necessary to ensure proper street lighting and thus to ensure the safety of street users on which such lamps are installed. Lack of lighting exposes street users not only to lowering their safety, but also to robberies, thefts, etc. Underexposure of streets, pavements and recreational areas is the cause of many traffic accidents. The solution to this problem is the proposed intelligent IT system consisting of a measurement module based on a microcontroller and a server that collects, analyzes and visualizes the collected data. This system ensures constant monitoring of the condition of the batteries which allows you to ensure the correct operation of street lamps. The design, execution of the model and test results of the proposed system are emphasized.
